Ziibiikwans (she/her) is an Anishnaabe kwe Visual Artist, Beader, and Environmental Advocate from Bkejwanong, Ontario. Ziibiikwans is mixed, with her Dad being Ojibwe and their Mom being Euro-Canadian Settler (Irish, Scottish, Welsh, British, etc.). They grew up living both on and off Bkejwanong. Ziibiikwans has dedicated her career to serving the Indigenous peoples in Canada, having received a Bachelor of Social Work and so far accumulating 10 years of community, social, cultural and educational work with indigenous people across Turtle Island (First Nations, Métis and Inuit). They are currently studying the LSAT's to try to become a Lawyer to help protect and advocate for better environmental rights and protections .
